I produce digital media and manage web projects for the cultural sector, with a specialism in education, metadata and digital asset management.
I’m an experienced content strategist, with a background in research, and a qualified Agile project manager. I've worked in the arts for more than twenty years, and the publicly funded cultural sector for ten.
I have worked as a digital producer for the National Theatre, Royal Opera House and Shakespeare's Globe. I sit on the BAFTA and LIFT digital strategy committees, and was part of the advisory board that supported the launch of Digital Theatre.
I am also an award winning, international bestselling, children's author, under pen name M. G. Leonard.
What can I do for you?
I produce and curate digital content, provide consultation on anything from digital asset management to editorial, project manage, devise and deliver digital workshops, write web copy or articles, design wireframes, and present at conferences.
I have an audience centred approach and am keenly interested in analytics and data. I have experience managing projects with shoe-string budgets as well web behemoths in excess of a million pounds. I'm as happy consulting on an artist's web presence and site build as I am in the innovative projects that reach new audiences.
As long as a job is interesting, I'm interested.
Little black book
I've been producing content for a long time, and I have a great book of contacts, including drupal developers, copywriters, archivists, camera operators, editors, UX and graphics designers, composers and performance artists.
This National Theatre video tells you a bit about my approach to my work. To learn anymore you'll have to invite me for a cup of tea.
